LiFePO4 battery is a new generation of Li-ion battery that uses LiFePO4 as cathode material instead of LiCo2O4. The materials for LiFePO4 cells are widely available, cheap (approx 1/5 that of LiCo2O4), non-toxic and environmentally friendly. Except common advantages of LiCo2O4, LiNiO2 and LiMnO2, LiFePO4 cells possesses good thermal stability, excellent safety (100% non-explosive) and good cyclic performance etc. LiFePO4 Cells is regarded as"the coming of new era of Li-ion batteries", and especially becomes the top choice of cathode materials for power battery.
